The 2026 School Chess League 1st Zonal was held on the 15th of February at the Boola Katitjin Building at Murdoch University. There were 59 players (including 15 girls) in the Primary School Division, representing 28 schools, and 39 players (including 10 girls) in the Secondary School Division, representing 19 schools.

The 2026 CAWA School Chess League Zonal 2 was successfully held at Murdoch University's beautiful, award-winning Boola Katitjin Building on the 17th of May, with a record-breaking 156 players taking part.
The Primary School section attracted 97 players from 36 schools, including 25 girls, while the Secondary School section featured 59 players from 15 schools, including 8 girls. And it was wonderful to see both many returning players and a strong group of first-time participants.
