| 2009 Open winner was Dennis Holland with Yita Choong runner-up and third place shared between Akef Abdat and Tom Donaldson. Dennis was also first in the Major section followed by Akef and Dave Dempster. This was the first occasion the Open winner has also won the Major. Gary Donaldson won the Minor Division with Bernard Laugery second and Grant Bultman third. Yita Choong won the Junior prize with George Carolin-Unkovich runner-up. While the five events were well supported by many of the state's leading players the level of junior participation was well down. However this may well be due to the popularity of the Junior GPs, usually held a week before or after the main tournaments. |
