On Sunday, 19th January a Blitz tournament was held at the Great Southern Room in the State Library. Despite being a nice warm weekend day there were 20 participants. The tournament was a dominated by Patrick Gong who achieved a near perfect score of 10.5. There was a four-way tie in the Under 1700 and the three youngest players, Bararth Harirajesh, Anthony Nguyen and Celine Ong, all were awarded upset prizes for beating higher rated opponents.
