18 Hardy souls braved inclement weather to take part in the Winter Allegro on Sunday, 28th June at North Woodvale Primary School.
This was the first OTB CAWA tournament since March 2020. The tournament had a strong field and was dominated by 13 year old Yihe Fu (Rebo) who achieved a perfect score of 9 from 9. The under 1800 was won by Alexander Ridley 5.5/9. Two players received Upset prizes, Alistair Berry and Alexander Ridley. Thanks to North Woodvale Primary School for the venue, in particular the heating system which was definitely needed on the day. Report kindly provided by Alan Wolstencroft. |
